Butler Rowland Mays Architects, LLP is a regional design and planning firm specializing in libraries, civic, and municipal buildings and spaces. Founded in the 1970’s as Richard R. Butler Architect and Associates, the firm became a partnership in the 1990’s, and moved to a completely restored 1851 historic building in Ballston Spa, NY in 2008. BRMA is a regionally recognized Library Design Specialty Office, with a staff of 6-10 professionals, focusing also on historic preservation and renovation projects, public space planning for sustainability, building forensics, and community consensus-building.
