With over 35 years experience in architecture and construction, Steve has an established talent for understanding construction technology, allowing him to oversee the efficient production of a project. He is BRMA’s expert for building envelopes and forensics, and historic preservation. Steve spent over 15 years as a member and chairperson for the City of Saratoga Springs Design Review Commission that oversees design in the city’s historic districts. He is also active in a number of other civic organizations. He enjoys gourmet cooking with his wife and spending time with their charismatic German Shepherds, Robie and Taliesin.

Paul K. Mays

Principal, Registered Architect (NY, CT)

With over 30 years of experience, Paul is an accomplished designer, planner, community facilitator, and research specialist. His design process incorporates diligent information gathering and creative insight to produce designs that place particular emphasis on reflecting the character of specific communities. He was a 12-year trustee for the Southern Adirondack Library System following a 12-year term on the Greenwich Free Library Board of Trustees, along with several other professional and civic organizations. Paul currently sits on the Architecture and Building Commission for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. He enjoys architectural, railroad, and military history, and is a book collector, soccer coach, and a devotee of Liverpool Football (Soccer) Club in England.

Lisa M. Hayes

Lisa M. Hayes

Senior Architect

With 40 years of experience, Lisa has a breadth of architectural expertise developed through the design, construction documents, and construction administration for a wide variety of building uses and types. She is on the Board of Directors for Community, Work and Independence, Inc. (CWI), a support organization for persons with developmental disabilities, a baptism preparation catechist of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Greenwich, and the Newsletter Chair for the Friends of the Greenwich Free Library. Lisa also enjoys family vacations, reading mysteries, jewelry making, painting and illustration, advocating for autism and other developmental disabilities, and volunteering in the community (library, church, school).

Richard A. Horsch

Richard A. Horsch

Senior Architect

Rich is an accomplished designer and project architect with more than 20 years of experience in design, computer modeling, construction documents, and contract administration. His experience covers multiple project types including commercial offices, academic buildings, and municipal development. Always interested in computers and technology, he has many years of experience with CAD and modeling programs, including early development of the original REVIT. Outside of the office, Rich enjoys a long history with Lego models, anything to do with Star Wars, camping, and skiing. In support of his children, he volunteers on several Boards including a long history with the Swordfish Swim Club in Ballston Spa.

Meghan A. Brennen

Meghan A. Brennen

Architectural Associate

With more than 20 years of experience in architecture, Meghan has extensive design, planning, construction document and construction administration experience. She has been an integral part of the design team for many library and other projects. She does a considerable amount of the firm’s interior finishes and furnishing selections. Meghan works closely with product representatives to custom design furniture to suit the specific uses and needs of the clients. During architecture school, Meghan lived in Italy for a semester and visits Europe as often as possible.
